• <br /> RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE <br /> . COUNTY TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM <br /> AGREEMENT WITH DURHAM COUNTY AND THE CITY OF DURHAM FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> EXTENDING.THE:TERMINATION'DATE.TO JUNE 30, 1988. <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Congress enacted the Job Training Partner <br /> ship Act in order to provide job training and employment opportunities for <br /> economically disadvantaged and unemployed persons; and <br /> WHEREAS, under the Act units of local governments are encouraged to <br /> form consortia to carry out employment and training services; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Counties of Durham, and Orange and the City of Durham <br /> have formed such a Consortium; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chairman is authorized to execute all documents on <br /> behalf of the County for Job Training Partnership Act purposes; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS: <br /> The Chairman is directed to execute an amendment to the Employment <br /> And Training Consortium Agreement for the purpose of extending the <br /> termination date to June 30, 1988. <br /> BY ORDER OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> THIS THE DAY OF , 1981. <br />
