The agreements, executed in <br /> 1984 established the consortium including Durham County, Orange <br /> County and the City of Durham. Earlier Board action designated <br /> Central Piedmont as the JTPA Service Delivery Area (SDA) which <br /> gives the Central Piedmont Consortium state authority to plan <br /> and operate JTPA activities. The SDA authority is supplemented <br /> by the local legal agreements. <br /> IMPACT: The terms of the agreements are two years which coincide with <br /> the state service delivery area redesignations. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(5) : <br /> Approve renewal of JTPA Central Piedmont Consortium and Private <br /> Industry Council/Chief Elected Officials Agreements through June <br /> 30, 1988. <br />
