O R A N G E C O U N T Y <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 001 <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date JUNE 17, 198 <br /> Action/1Agenda <br /> SUBJECT: MEADOW LANE - ASSESSMENT ROLL Item 1. <br /> DEPARTMENT: PLANNING PUBLIC HEARING X Yes No <br /> Attachment(s) Information Contact: SUSAN SMITH <br /> PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL <br /> CERTIFICATE OF MAILING <br /> Telephone Numbers <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive public comment on the Preliminary Assessment Roll <br /> for Meadow Lane (SR 1195) . - <br /> To confirm the Final Assessment Roll for the project. <br /> NEED: Public input on the Preliminary Assessment Roil , filed with the <br /> Clerk to the Board and containing a tax description of each <br /> parcel of land to be assessed, the basis for the assessment, <br /> the amount assessed against each parcel of land, the terms of <br /> payment and the name of the owner of each parcel as can be <br /> ascertained from County fax records, is necessary to complete <br /> the program procedures for the project. <br /> The Clerk to the Board has filed a Certificate of Mailing which <br /> certifies that the notices of this public hearing and notices <br /> of individual assessments were mailed on or before June 6, <br /> 1986 . <br /> The amount to be assessed includes the local share of the <br /> construction costs and project administrative costs . The <br /> combined total specified on the adopted Assessment, Resolution <br /> is $10,514.01 . <br /> IMPACT: Upon close of the public hearing and confirmation of the <br /> Assessment Roll for the Meadow Lane project, the Board can <br /> direct that the Assessment Roll be delivered to the Orange <br /> County Tax Collector for collection . , <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Confirm the Assessment Roll . <br /> Accept the Certificate of Mailing offered by the Clerk . <br /> Direct the Tax Collector to collect the assessment. <br />
