• 11 • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> * • <br /> Section 1 .3 Effective Date and Duration. <br /> A. This agreement shall become effective on the effec <br /> ' tive date of an ordinance adopted by Orange County _that <br /> amends Orange County 's_ zoning. ordinance ( including map) and <br /> subdivision ordinance as prescribed in •Section 2. 1 of this <br /> agreement. <br /> B. This agreement shall remain in effect until any <br /> party withdraws, which may be accomplished by providing <br /> thirty days written notice to the other parties. <br /> • <br /> ARTICLE 2. ADOPTION, ADMINISTRATION; AND . <br /> AMENDMENT OF STANDARDS <br /> Section 2. 1 Standards Within Ten and Twenty Year Transition <br /> Zones. <br /> A. Orange County shall adopt by reference the Carrboro <br /> Land Use Ordinance and make its provisions applicable only to <br /> that portion of the ten and twenty-year transition zones <br /> located within Carrboro's API . Orange County shall also <br /> amend Its zoning map to zone areas within that portion of the <br /> ten and twenty-year transition zones that lies within <br /> Carrboro's API as shown on Exhibit A. These zoning districts <br /> correspond to the text of the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance. <br /> B. Orange County shall adopt by reference the Chapel <br /> HIll Land Development ordinance and make its provisions <br /> applicable only to that portion of the ten and twenty-year <br /> transition zones that is located within Chapel Hill 's API , <br /> Orange County shall also amend its zoning map to zone areas <br /> within that portion of the ten and twenty-year transition <br /> zones that is located within Chapel Hill 's API as shown on <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> Section 2.2 Standards Outside Ten and Twenty Year <br /> Transition Zones . <br /> Within that portion of the joint planning area that lies <br /> outside the ten and twenty year transition zones, the Orange <br /> County zoning ordinance ( including zoning map) and sub- <br /> division ordinance that are in effect on the effective date <br /> of this agreement shall remain in effect until modified in <br /> accordance with Section 2.6 of this agreement. Current <br /> zoning districts are shown as Exhibit A. <br /> Section 2.3 Permit Administration Within Ten and Twenty <br /> Year Transition Zones , <br /> A. Except as otherwise provided in Section 2. 5 and <br /> 2.6, the Town of Carrboro shall perform all functions related <br /> to the administration of the ordinances referenced in Section <br /> 2. 1A. Subject to the remainder of this section , Carrboro <br /> shall administer the referenced ordinances just as if the <br /> -2-- <br />
