Asc a g heduleforcompletiono h andadoption of <br /> the Plan called for final Board of Commissioner consideration <br /> on June 2, 1986.Initiation of hearings on the Chapel Hill Interim Land Use Plan have <br /> caused the Town Council to schedule a work session on the JPA Land Use <br /> Plan (June 10) . The attached schedule calls for Council adoption of <br /> the Plan on June 23. The Board of Commissioners could then consider <br /> adoption on July 7, a regularly scheduled meeting date. An alternate <br /> date for consideration would be July 1, <br /> Associated with the JPA Land Use Plan is a draft proposal submitted <br /> by the Town of Carrboro which calls for establishment of a Joint Planning <br /> Agreement between that jurisdiction and the County. The proposal <br /> suggests that the agreement become effective upon mutual adoption of a <br /> zoning map and development standards within the Carrboro portion of the <br /> Joint Planning Area. <br /> The Carrboro proposal would become effective following the completion <br /> of the second phase of Joint Planning - the preparation and adoption <br /> of a zoning map and development standards to apply in the Joint Planning <br /> Area. The second phase would commence following adoption of the <br /> JPA Land Use Plan with a proposed zoning map and development standards <br /> projdc.ted for public hearing at the quarterly hearing date of November 23. <br /> ION: Adopt proposed schedule for approval of Joint Planning Area Land Use <br /> Plan and schedule meeting date at which to consider Carrboro proposal. <br />
