Graham and <br /> A. H. Graham, Jr. This item was submitted to <br /> public hearing on November 25, 1985 and January 6, <br /> 1986. The Planning Board recommendation of denial <br /> was submitted to the Board of Commissioners on <br /> February 18, 1986. <br /> On February 18, 1986 the public hearing on <br /> Scotswood was continued to March 25, 1986 to <br /> receive further public comment on traffic and <br /> water supply issues, particularly current and <br /> proposed water withdrawals, possible improvements <br /> to the three reservoirs in northern Orange County <br /> and the State 's recommendation regarding in-stream <br /> flow requirements. <br /> On March 25, 1986 the public hearing on Scotswood <br /> was continued to April 1 , 1986, due to the <br /> lateness of the hour for further receipt of public <br /> comment on the request. On April 1 , 1986, the <br /> Board of Commissioners referred the proposal back <br /> to the Planning Board for further consideration . <br /> John W. Graham & A. H. Graham, Jr. are requesting <br /> approval of a planned development and rezoning for <br /> 331 . 12 acres of land located along Highway 70 <br /> Bypass and St. Mary's Road(SR 1002) northeast of <br /> Hillsborough . The property is referenced as Tax <br /> map 6, Block B. , Lots 3 & 4 and Tax Map 22 Block <br /> A, lot 17 of Hillsborough Township. <br /> The property is located in an area designated as <br /> Ten Year Transition and Commercial Transition <br /> Activity Node in the Orange County Land Use Plan. <br /> The present zoning classification is (Residential <br /> 1 ) R-1 . The applicants are requesting 290.03 <br /> acres to be rezoned PD-H-R2, 29.50 acres to be <br /> rezoned PD-H-R5 and 10.43 acres to be rezoned PD <br /> GC4. <br /> Approval of the request would allow development of <br /> 410 residential lots with a minimum 20,000 sq. ft. <br /> per dwelling unit 216 attached multi-family <br /> dwelling units and a 65,460 square feet of <br /> commercial space on 10 .43 acres. <br />
