PROPOSED FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION ORDINANCE <br /> AMENDMENTS <br /> This item was submitted to public hearing on <br /> February 214, 1986 . <br /> The Federal Emergency Management Agency has <br /> notified Orange County of rules changes in the <br /> National Flood Insurance Program floodplain <br /> management criteria . The rule revisions became <br /> effective January 1 , 1986 . Certain provisions are <br /> not included in the existing ordinance . The <br /> proposed amendments must be made and submitted to <br /> the FEMA Regional Office by July 1 , 1986 . <br /> The proposed text amendments , if approved would <br /> bring the Orange COunty Flood Damage Prevention <br /> Ordinance into compliance with changes in Federal <br /> regulations . <br /> The Planning Staff recommends approval of the <br /> proposed amendments . <br /> MOTION: Shanklin moved approval of the Consent Agenda. <br /> Seconded by Kramer . <br /> Yuhasz abstained due to professional conflict f <br /> interest . He noted he was only involved with twcff <br /> the items . Jacobs suggested that in the future that <br /> Yuhasz withdraw from the mationohthe consent agenda <br /> those items with which there is a conflict of <br /> interest for separate Board action. <br /> VOTE: 10 in favor. <br /> 1 abstained . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #8: SUBDIVISION APPLICATIONS <br /> a . APPEAL - MINOR SUBDIVISION OF CLAUDE CATES <br /> Presentation by Smith. <br /> This agenda item is to consider an appeal to the <br /> Planning Staff's decision to require that a 50 ' <br /> right-of-way be platted as part of the minor <br /> subdivision of the property of Claude Cates . The <br /> property is known as Lots 3 and 3A of Tax Map 15 <br /> for Cheeks Township . <br /> The lots being subdivided have partial frontage on <br /> an existing state maintained public road known as <br /> East Lebanon Road (SR 1306) . The platted right-of <br /> way and state maintained portion ends midway across <br />
