April 10, 1986 <br /> County Manager <br /> FROM: Gerry House g• <br /> Superintend nt <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools <br /> RE: Capital Funds From 1986-87 Budget for Mobile Units <br /> This memo is to confirm my verbal request that the County Commissioners <br /> guarantee the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools at least $66,000 in the <br /> capital outlay budget for 1986-87 in order that the school system may proceed <br /> with the purchase of two additional mobile classroom units for use next year. <br /> The Board of Education is making this request because action to order these <br /> units is needed this spring to allow the necessary lead time for delivery <br /> of the units for the beginning of school next fall . The estimated cost of <br /> each additional unit will be $33,000, <br /> The Board of Education approved a budget amendment to purchase one such <br /> unit from the contingency fund of the 1985-86 capital outlay budget.
