12. <br /> Total Cost: I $16,412 <br /> Transportation Cost: -0- <br /> ON-THE--JOB TRAINING <br /> On-The-Job Training programs are designed for those individuals whose <br /> skill levels are inadequate to gain employment without special consideration <br /> from an employer. Training contracts are developed on an individual basis <br /> with interested employers in the area. Employers are reimbursed up to 50% <br /> of the trainee's hourly wage to cover the extraordinary cost of recruiting, <br /> training, andiilower productivity of our participants. The length of train- <br /> ing is determined by the specific vocational preparation scale. The training <br /> areas are not limited by the PIC. <br /> OJT Applicants are: <br /> 1. determined eligible by an in-house specialist <br /> 2. assessed for previous employment skills, education, <br /> goals/interests and barriers to employment <br /> 3. the assigned program counselor screens (based on <br /> training description) and refers applicants to the <br /> employer <br /> 4. the employer interviews and selects <br /> Training is provided on site and/or areas designated by the company. <br /> This program is coordinated by Central Piedmont Employment and Training. <br /> Hours of operation are generally between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Other <br /> hours may be designated by the company. <br /> Counselorllvisitation has been scheduled for one (1) hour per week per <br /> client.
