• <br /> Total Cost: $3,680.66 <br /> Transportation Cost: $ 626.80 <br /> ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING <br /> This program is designed with a. technical curriculum as well as hands <br /> on experience to provide the appropriate knowledge and manual skills <br /> needed for entry level placement in Electronic Manufacturing. - <br /> Electronic Manufacturing Applicants are: <br /> 1. determined eligible by in-house specialists <br /> 2. assessed for previous employment skills, education <br /> goals/interests and barriers to employment <br /> 3. tested for academic skill level (TABE) and aptitude (GATE) <br /> 4. interviewed and selected by a committee. This committee <br /> consists of the program instructor, the assigned program <br /> counselor and private sector employers in the Electronic <br /> Manufacturing field. <br /> This committee selects the top 11 applicants ( 7 or 8 for the initial <br /> class and 3 or 4 alternates) from each program cycle based on the scores <br /> from the TABE, GATB and interview. <br /> This self-contained, 6 week program is held at the Lyon Park Training <br /> Center. <br /> This program is coordinated by DTI (Durham Technical Institute) . <br /> The hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Counselor <br /> visitation is every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-12:00. <br /> One (1) Orange County participant has been enrolled in the Electronics <br /> Manufacturing Program 07-01-85 - 12-31-85 <br /> PARTICIPANT ENROLLED <br /> (T) Donald Grimsley Z2 Old Well Condos Carrboro <br /> NO TERMINATIONS <br /> (T) Received Program Funded Transportation <br />
