Job Training Plan for program year 1986/87. NEED: On February 18, 1986, the Board approved the Job Training Plan Summary for the next fiscal year. On March 25, 1986, the Private Industry Council (PIC) approved the final Job Training Plan. In accordance with the consortium agreement, all units of government in the Central Piedmont Consortium are required to approve the plan before submission to the State Division of Employment and Training. The plan does not address concerns unique to the County and previously discussed by the Board in December, 1985. The con- cerns are: an additional training site in the County, partici- pant transportation, improved financial reporting, increased coordination with County agencies and expanded program outreach. To address these concerns Central Piedmont has submitted a six month report on the current program year which documents expen- ditures, program descriptions, level of participation in the County, staffing pattern and outreach in the County. (1) Additional Training Site--The report along with recent federal budget cuts indicate the establishment of an addi- tional training site is not feasible. (2) Participant Transportation--Transportation to training sites is available to all JTPA recipients upon request. (3) Improved Financial Reporting--Central Piedmont has consented to providing County staff quarterly financial and partici- pant reports.
