C. General Status <br /> and Orange County Zoning Ordinance. This included providing <br /> notice twice in the Chapel Hill Newspaper, News of Orange and <br /> Durham Morning Herald. Subsequent to the Board's adoption of <br /> the standards the Planning Department notified the mobile home <br /> park owners by certified mail of the new standards applicable to <br /> their parks . The notification letter informed the <br /> owners of the effective date of the standards , generally <br /> described the provisions and included excerpts from the <br /> Zoning Ordinance . <br /> A number of phone calls from mobile home park owners <br /> regarding the new standards have been received by the <br /> staff and Board members .. Comments received have been <br /> both in support of and in opposition to the standards . <br /> Comments in support of the standards generally focused <br /> on the desire for the alleviation of crowded and <br /> unsightly conditions in some mobile home parks . <br /> Comments in opposition to the standards generally <br /> focused on the inability to physically and financially <br /> meet space and setback requirements . <br /> IMPACT: <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br />
