O R A N G E C O U N T Y <br /> INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Board Members <br /> FROM: County Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Manager Communication <br /> DATE: February 26, 1986 <br /> Scottswood Hearing <br /> In order for John Wray of the NRCD Division of Water <br /> Resources to be present we had to reschedule the hearing <br /> from March 5 to March 25. <br /> February 12 , 1986 Letter of NRCD (Attached) <br /> The letter is in follow-up to the call the Chairman <br /> received from John Wray. <br /> Second Hearing on the Land Use Plan for the Joint Planning <br /> Area <br /> The date of April 17 is agreeable to all jurisdiction. <br /> An item to confirm this date will be on the next agenda. <br /> Social Service Department Staff Study <br /> This study by the Regional Office, Division of Social <br /> Services, is being undertaken at County request to <br /> address staffing adequacy within the department. A <br /> meeting Tuesday, February 24 served to discuss and <br /> reconcile differences of view over the methodology to be <br /> employed. A report will be available in time to <br /> consider any budget ramifications. <br /> Public Transportation Study <br /> DOT has enlisted to the aid of the Department of City <br /> and Regional Planning to undertake a study of traffic <br /> growth within the Region. <br /> This is in recognition that conditions are becoming more <br /> severe. I gathered from the briefing I received last <br /> week from David King, Doug Sharer and Gorman Gilbert <br /> that DOT is prepared to not limit the study to problem <br /> definition. There will be a consideration of service <br /> options that could be installed (such as drive sharing, <br />
