North Carolin <br /> Chapter 153A, Section 323 and Section 343 , Article 20 .5 and Article 20.6 of t <br /> Orange County Zoning Ordinance, notice is hereby given that a public heari <br /> will be held in the Superior Courtroom of the Orange County Courthouse, 1 <br /> East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North Carolina on Tuesday, March 25 , 1986 <br /> 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an opportunity <br /> speak for or against the adoption of proposed amendment to the Orange Coun <br /> Zoning Atlas. <br /> The amendment under consideration is as follows : <br /> PD-5-85 aCDTh1YQOD <br /> • <br /> The property in question is located along Highway 70 Bypass and <br /> St . Mary' s Road (SR 1002) northeast of the Town of Hillsborough <br /> in Hillsborough Township. It is known as Block B Lots 3 and 4 on <br /> Orange County Tax Map #6 and Block A Lot 17 on Orange County Tax <br /> Map 22 for Hillsborough Township. The planned development <br /> request contains approximately 14 , 374 , 800 square feet ' 'or 330 <br /> acres . The present zoning of the property is Residential-1 (R-1) , <br /> The applicant is requesting that 290 . 03 acres be rezoned Planned <br /> Development Residential-2 (PD-H-R2 ) , 29. 50 acres be rezoned <br /> Planned Development Residential-5 (PD--H-R5) and 10 . 43 acres be <br /> rezoned Planned Development General Commercial--4 (PD-GC4) and the <br /> issuance if a Class A Special Use Permit for 410 single family <br /> Units , 216 multi-family units and 65, 460 square feet of <br /> commercial space. <br /> At the meeting evidence will be received regarding traffic and wa <br /> supply problems , particularly current and proposed water withdrawals , possi • <br /> improvements to the three reservoirs in northern Orange County (Lake Oran- <br /> Corporation Lake and Lake Ben Johnston) and the State' s recommendati • <br /> regarding in-stream flow requirements . _ <br /> All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and be hear , <br /> .
