OWASA has <br /> indicated that a gravity sewer must be extended along Bolin <br /> Creek to serve the site. Water service can be provided by <br /> the extension of a 12" water main from the intersection of <br /> Homestead Road and Seawell School Road (SEE 1-13-86 LETTER) . . <br /> MADaLIMEEIC <br /> The property is served by access from Homestead Road. <br /> Homestead Road is designated a major thoroughfare on the <br /> Chapel Hill/Carrboro Thoroughfare Plan which provides for the <br /> extension of Homestead Road from the intersection of Weaver <br /> Dairy Road and NC 86 to NC 54. A 1985 = traffic count for <br /> Homestead Road indicates an average of 2,861 trips per day. <br /> Traffic generation estimates for development of the property <br /> into approximately 80 half-acre, single-family lots is 710 <br /> trips per day, an increase of 25 " percent . <br /> PSI.GE,:_EIBE_AND_BE E_BERYIGBa <br /> Services at the site will be provided by the Orange County <br /> Sheriff 's Department , New Hope Rural Volunteer Fire Company <br /> and the South Orange Rescue Squad. Courtesy review responses <br /> have been received from the referenced service agencies which <br /> indicate an ability to serve the site (SEE ATTACHED LETTERS) . <br /> Students from the development would attend schools in the <br /> Chapel. Hill /Carrboro School District . The school district has <br /> indicated. that a' number: of its facilities are currently <br /> operating at capacity. <br />
