The Orange County Health <br /> Department 's letter dated 1-16-86 is attached. The Health <br /> Department has indicated that the system currently serving <br /> the site is working properly. No indication has been <br /> received from the Health Department that the existing system <br /> can serve expansion of the existing use or development of <br /> new uses on the property. <br /> Although individual wells are proposed by the applicant to <br /> serve the site a letter has been submitted from the Orange <br /> Alamance Water System, Inc. in which the company has <br /> indicated they are able to extend water lines to the site. <br /> The source of raw water for Orange Alamance Water System is <br /> Corporation Lake fed by the Eno River. <br /> A 12" water line serviced by Orange Alamance Water System <br /> extends west along US 70 into Mebane. A second 12" line <br /> extends east and north along Industrial Drive on the north <br /> side of 1-85. A 1" water line extends south along Buckhorn <br /> Road on the north side of I-85. <br /> A 10" sewer line extends east along Industrial Drive on the <br /> north side of I-85. A gravity sewer line is proposed to be <br /> extended along US 70 west of Richmond Road from Hillsborough <br /> to serve the Efland area. <br /> Neither system currently serves the area south of I-85 . <br />
