X__BOCC <br /> PUBLIC___OTHER__._-__..__ _ <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION: X_H I GH __ MIDDLE __LOW <br /> COMMENT: BIBECIIYE_RECEIYELLEMM_B=_I-A=$1 <br /> EBEEAF E-ME TENI__EQB__Zzli_$B.__PEELIC <br /> LNG <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: 2-24-86 <br /> ********************** <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: To clarify that new members appointed <br /> to fill unexpired terms will be <br /> eligible for two additional full terms <br /> and to specify that one-third of the <br /> Board membership will expire in <br /> February of each calendar year . <br /> ISSUES/IMPACTS: Provides for orderly turnover in Board <br /> membership. <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISION(S) : <br /> 2.2.4 TENURE <br /> The tenure of office shall be three years with <br /> right to be reappointed for a second full term. <br /> Appointments shall be made so that approximately <br /> one-third of the term expire each year . <br /> Appointments to fill vacancies shall be for the <br /> unexpired term. <br /> Attendance at the regular meetings of the Board <br /> shall be considered a prerequisite for maintenance <br /> of membership on the Planning Board. The Board of <br /> County Commissioners may declare a vacancy on the <br /> Planning Board because of a member ' s non <br /> attendance. <br /> A member may be appointed for a second successive <br /> term, but after two consecutive terms a member <br /> shall be ineligivle for reappointment until one <br /> calendar year has elapsed from the date of <br /> completion of the second term. <br />
