DRAFT ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS 00129 <br /> ISSUE STATEMENT : Application of the pedestrian/ landscape <br /> ratio is determined , by defini —tion , on the <br /> basis of floor area . Application of all <br /> other ratios listed in the table is <br /> determined on the basis of gross Land area . <br /> Staff proposes to alter the formula to <br /> provide for consistency in application . <br /> Further, based on recent modifications of <br /> the Table of Dimensional Requirements <br /> applicable to industrial districts , staff <br /> identified a need to revise the standards <br /> for Landscape and pedestrian area <br /> requirements . The existing provisions do <br /> not specify landscape requirements for the <br /> Existing Industrial (E—I ) or Industrial—I <br /> (I-1 ) zoning districts . <br /> DRAFT AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE 22 DEFINITIONS <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE: <br /> Pedestrian/Landscape Ratio . This is the <br /> minimum square footage of pedestrian access <br /> and Landscaped area in non—residential <br /> developments for each square foot of floor <br /> area . <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT : <br /> Pedestrian/Landscape Ratio . This is the <br /> minimum square footage of pedestrian access <br /> and landscaped area in non—residential <br /> developments for each square foot of prose <br /> land area . <br /> DRAFT AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE 5 . ESTABLISHMENT OF DIMENSIONAL <br /> REQUIREMENTS <br /> EXPLANATION : The existing ratios are <br /> applied to floor area . <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE: SEE COLUMN A <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT: SEE COLUMN B <br /> EXPLANATION : The proposed ratios are <br /> applied to the gross land area and are based <br /> on utilizing 25% of the area provided by <br /> application of the open space ratio <br /> requirements for landscape and pedestrian <br /> access purposes . <br />
