Margaret Lane <br /> Hillsboro h, NC 27278 <br /> Gam/ ' <br /> Dear ompson: <br /> Re: Roof Replacement Engineering <br /> Following our discussion at the Commissioners Meeting on February 3, <br /> 1986, on the request for engineering funds for reroofing of Priority x <br /> roofs at Stanford Junior High and A. L. Stanback Schools, I reviewed <br /> the situation with the Orange County Board of Education on February 10, <br /> 1986. At that meeting the Board authorized me to request of the <br /> Commissioners th'e following action: <br /> 1) That the Commissioners allow the Board of Education <br /> to transfer, on a temporary basis, $20,000 from the <br /> allotted funds for the Orange High expansion/renovation <br /> project,. This transfer would be solely for the pur- <br /> pose of doing necessary engineering for Priority I <br /> roof work noted above. The funds transferred from <br /> the renovation project would be refunded in the next <br /> fiscal year from our county appropriation. <br /> 2) That the Board of Education, following completion of <br /> specifications, will proceed to bid and report those <br /> bids to',the Board of Commissioners for funding purposes <br /> in June; 1986. <br /> We regret having to file this request, but the Board and its staff <br /> see it as imperative that we proceed with this work at this time so <br /> that the work can be done this stunner, <br /> R- .-ctfully, <br /> Lunsford <br /> Superintendent <br /> DGL:ha <br /> cc: Mr. Norman Haithcock, Board Chairman <br /> Mx.
