Margaret Lane <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Dear Mr.' Wilhoit: <br /> This is to acknowledge receipt of the amended Orange County <br /> Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance pursuant to the Revised <br /> Model Ordinance approved by the North Carolina Sedimentation Pollution <br /> Control Commission on June 25, 1985. The staff of the Land Quality <br /> Section will review the proposed document and present all revised local <br /> ordinance documents and review comments to the Sedimentation Pollution <br /> Control Commission for consideration and final approval in March, 1986. <br /> Reviews of any documents which are completed prior to the regularly <br /> scheduled meeting of the Commission in December, 1985 will be presented <br /> at that time. Questions or comments concerning this review will be <br /> addressed to the local governments if necessary. <br /> We recommend that local governments delay formal adoption of the <br /> revised ordinance until final approval is issued by the Commission. <br /> Until such time all local erosion and sedimentation control programs <br /> shall operate under the terms of their current ordinance. <br /> Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
