004 <br /> SCHOOL ROOF REPAIR/REPLACEMENT STATUS REPORT <br /> After completion of the roof projects fund ed during the <br /> current fiscal year. the projects remaining for Orange County <br /> Schools are as follows: <br /> Priority Per Law Estimated Cost As <br /> Engingering Report 5Qh2al Provided by School <br /> ,SNIstem <br /> T Stanford Jr. High $400.000 <br /> (Bldgs. 100 and 300) <br /> and A. L. Stanback <br /> (Bldg. 100 and <br /> Cafeteria) <br /> I Orange High School <br /> - Shop Area $ 50,000 <br /> - Boiler Area $ 17,000 <br /> - Gym $108.000 <br /> I G.A. Brown Elementary $ 15.000 <br /> TI Efland Cheeks (Bldg.2) $ 4.500 <br /> II Central Elementary $ 15.000 <br /> II A.L. Stanback (Music No estimate <br /> Room and Vocational available <br /> Section) <br /> These projects are listed in the priority established by the <br /> school system. with the highest priority being the Stanford <br /> Jr. High and A. L. Stanback roofs. <br /> Dr., Lunsford has requested in a memorandum to the Board <br /> dated November 26. 1985 that they be allowed to undertake the <br /> Stanford and Stanback projects in the summer of 1986. <br /> The labove listed projects will complete all of the <br /> Priority I and II roofs for Orange County Schools as outlined <br /> in the Law Engineering Report. <br /> Alli of the Priority I roofs for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro <br /> Schools will be completed with the appropriations made in the <br /> 1985-86 budget. Also. some of the Priority II roofs have <br /> been or will be completed by the end of the current fiscal <br /> year. A list of the remaining Priority II roofs and cost <br /> estimates for these are not available at this time. However. <br /> this information should be available as a handout at the <br /> meeting on February 3. <br /> Richard Drake, Director of Plant Maintenance for the <br /> ChapelHill--Carrboro Schools. has recently submitted a <br /> proposalirequesting $30,000 be appropriated for a complete <br /> restoration of the roof on the original part of the Chapel <br /> Hill High School "A" Building. The reason for making the <br /> request now is the fact that the contractor already has the <br />
