AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BETWEEN ORANGE COUNTY/ NORTH CAROLINA AND L. E. WOOTEN AND COMPANY RE: FAIRVIEWIICOMMUNITY PARK DEVELOPMENT THIS AG�+REEMENT, made and entered into this the // ' day of . ��1LP.,r0.4s r 1986, by and between ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, and L. E. WOOTEN AND COMPANY, hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER. W I T N E S S E T H THAT WHEREAS THE OWNER intends to develop a community park to be located on a 41.45 acre tract near Hillsborough, North Carolina in the Northern Fairview area of Orange County, NOW, THEREFORE, the OWNER and the ENGINEER, for and in consideration of matters hereinafter-. set..forth, do hereby agree as follows: I. PROJECT SCOPE The project site is the "Northern Fairview" area of Orange County, which is a community located north of the Town of Hillsborough in Orange County, North Carolina. The scope of the project which is the subject of this contract is the development of a 41.45 acre tract for purposes of a cour munity park, including the necessary revision of a Master Site Plan, ',devised in September 1983. The tract to be developed is indicated on the attached exhibit "A". II. ENGINEERING SERVICES AND COMPENSATION The ENGINEER agrees to perform the following services, and the OWNER agrees to pay the following compensation: 1. Project Forimulation and Planning Phase A. Recommendations on type of facilities, construction, and park equipment with regard to the list of requested facilities in the Request for Proposal. B. Preparation of a topographic map showing existing contours of the 41.45 acre tract. C. Soil analysis of previous landfill site, utilizing soil borings techniques to determine soil conditions with rations concerning reclamation procedures to render area ready for future recreational facility development.
