AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BETWEEN <br /> ORANGE COUNTY/ NORTH CAROLINA AND L. E. <br /> WOOTEN AND COMPANY <br /> RE: FAIRVIEWIICOMMUNITY PARK DEVELOPMENT <br /> THIS AG�+REEMENT, made and entered into this the // ' day of <br /> . ��1LP.,r0.4s r 1986, by and between ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH <br /> CAROLINA, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, and L. E. WOOTEN <br /> AND COMPANY, hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER. <br /> W I T N E S S E T H <br /> THAT WHEREAS THE OWNER intends to develop a community park to be <br /> located on a 41.45 acre tract near Hillsborough, North Carolina <br /> in the Northern Fairview area of Orange County, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the OWNER and the ENGINEER, for and in consideration <br /> of matters hereinafter-. set..forth, do hereby agree as follows: <br /> I. PROJECT SCOPE <br /> The project site is the "Northern Fairview" area of Orange <br /> County, which is a community located north of the Town of <br /> Hillsborough in Orange County, North Carolina. The scope <br /> of the project which is the subject of this contract is the <br /> development of a 41.45 acre tract for purposes of a cour <br /> munity park, including the necessary revision of a Master <br /> Site Plan, ',devised in September 1983. The tract to be <br /> developed is indicated on the attached exhibit "A". <br /> II. ENGINEERING SERVICES AND COMPENSATION <br /> The ENGINEER agrees to perform the following services, and the <br /> OWNER agrees to pay the following compensation: <br /> 1. Project Forimulation and Planning Phase <br /> A. Recommendations on type of facilities, construction, and <br /> park equipment with regard to the list of requested <br /> facilities in the Request for Proposal. <br /> B. Preparation of a topographic map showing existing contours <br /> of the 41.45 acre tract. <br /> C. Soil analysis of previous landfill site, utilizing soil <br /> borings techniques to determine soil conditions with <br /> rations concerning reclamation procedures to <br /> render area ready for future recreational facility <br /> development. <br />
