This agreement shall become effective on the effective date <br /> of an Orange County ordinance adopting it and after it is approved by <br /> one or both of the towns. <br /> B. This agreement shall remain in onnect until terminated <br /> and agreement or by withdrawal of Orang eCounty <br /> Carrboro. A party may not withdraw until it holds a public hearing on. <br /> the proposed withdrawal followed by written notice to the other parties <br /> within thirty days of the public hearing. The withdrawal shall be <br /> effective one year fallowing receipt by the other parties of the written <br /> notice. If either Chapel Hill or Carrboro withdraw, this agreement shall <br /> remain in effect until terminated 'mutually or by the withdrawal of either• <br /> of the remaining parties. : • <br /> ARTICLE 2. ADOPTION, ADMINNI TION, AND <br /> AMMENDMENT OF STANDARES <br /> • <br /> Section 2.1 Standards Within The Joint Planning Area.. <br /> A. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the Orange County <br /> land use plan, zoning ordinance ( including zoning "atlas") and <br /> subdivision ordinance that are in effect at that time shall remain in " <br /> effect in the entire joint planning area until amended as herein <br /> described. <br /> B. After the effective date of this ordinance Orange County, <br /> Chapel Hill and Carrboro shall immediately and cooperatively develop a <br /> land use plan and zoning map to be applicable in the ten and twenty <br /> year transition zones shown on Exhibit A. <br /> C. Upon completion of the land use plan and zoning map <br /> described in subsection B herein. Orange County shall adopt, on . the <br /> Carrboro Side of the joint planning area located within the ten and <br /> twenty year transition zones, that portion of the land use plan, zoning <br /> map and the development standards of the Carrboro land use ordinance <br /> which shall be applicable to the Carrboro Side. <br /> D. Upon completion of the land use plan and zoning map <br /> described in subsection B herein, Orange County shall adopt, on the <br /> Chapel Hill Side of the joint planning area located, within the ten and <br /> twenty year transition zones, that portion of the land use plan, zoning <br /> map and the development standards of the Chapel Hill development <br /> ordinance which shall be applicable to the Chapel Hill Side. <br /> Section 2.2 Permit Administration Within the Joint Planning Area. <br /> A. Orange County shall perform all functions related to the <br /> administration of the ordinances referenced in Sections 2.1A, 2.IB, 2.1C, <br /> and 2.1D. <br />
