This method of organization <br /> thus solved the problem of creating a representative and continuous <br /> mechanism. <br /> II <br /> The EDC is staffed by a full—time professional Director and a <br /> part--time Secretary, with an annual budget provided by the County, <br /> the municipalities and the Chambers (see COSTS below) . An important <br /> element of the Director 's role is to Liaise with the municipalities, <br /> the Planning Boards, local business and the community, as well as the <br /> relevant regional and state organizations regarding economic develop- <br /> ment which will serve the public interest as formulated by the Board <br /> of County Commissioners, while taking into account the special needs <br /> of the Individual municipalities. <br />
