SUSAN SMITH <br /> (2) RESOLUTIONS <br /> Telephone Numbers <br /> Hillsborough — 732-8181 <br /> Durham — 688-7331 <br /> Mebane — 227-2031 <br /> Chapel Hill — 968 -4501 <br /> PURPOSE: To receive two resolutions adopted by the Orange County <br /> Planning Board on January 27 , 1986 . <br /> NEED : Due to increasing concerns regarding water resources and <br /> transportation needs in Orange County and the role these issues <br /> play in the decision—making process on specific development <br /> projects , the Water Resources and Transportation Committees of <br /> the Orange County Planning Board recommended and the full Board <br /> adopted the attached resolutions for consideration by the Board <br /> of County Commissioners . <br /> IMPACT: The resolutions respectively request that the Board of County <br /> Commissioners , with the Planning Board , Jointly formulate a <br /> water policy for Orange County beginning with the Upper Eno <br /> Basin , and that the Board of County Commissioners request that <br /> NC DOT design a county—wide thoroughfare plan . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: As the Board decides . <br />
