X501 <br /> TEL NUMBER: <br /> YES Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: To add two items to the wastewater collection and purchase <br /> contract with the Town of Hillsborough. <br /> NEED: Farmers Home Administration in completing the final review <br /> concluded that the contract is acceptable. subject to adding two <br /> items: <br /> 1. Contract needs minimum term of forty years to coincide with <br /> the duration of the farmers home loan. <br /> 2. Designate who is to be responsible for maintenance of the <br /> master meter. <br /> IMPACT: The contract will need amending as follows: <br /> Number 6. would be changed to read: <br /> The County shall install and maintain a meter as shall be set <br /> forth in the plans and specifications of project at the point <br /> where the County's force main changes to a gravity line at <br /> Orange Heights Road. The meter will measure the flow of <br /> wastewater from the County's system into the Town's system. <br /> Number 12. (new paragraph) <br /> The Town of Hillsborough is willing to make its wastewater <br /> collection system and wastewater treatment facility available to <br /> treat wastewater generated by County's wastewater collection <br /> system for a period of 40 years. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): <br /> Approve the two changes and transmit to Hillsborough for its <br /> approval. <br />
