CARRBORO RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT <br /> Proposal for use of Summer Youth Nutritional Services Funds <br /> If $2000 is provided to the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department <br /> for Summer Youth prugramming`the funds would be expended in the following <br /> ways. <br /> 1. Scholarships for registration would be provided for indigent parti- <br /> cipants registering for the playground prugram. The current program <br /> at Wilson Park will accommodate 35 children ages 6-12 per 4 week <br /> sessinn. There are 2 sessions per summer. <br /> 2. An additional playground leader would be hired for the second 4 week <br /> session- (The first session begins prior to Fiscal Year 1901-82\ <br /> With an additional staff person we could register 10-12 additional parti- <br /> cipants and provide scholarships for them if needed. <br /> 3. In addition to the existing site we propose the addition of a 3 week <br /> program at a second site for 18 participants ages 3-5.
