However,
sewer mains from the Town of Hillsborough and the City of Durham currently
border Eno Township. "201" sewer plans prepared for these two municipali-
ties call for future expansion into Eno Township. Sewer lines from the
Town of Hillsborough are projected to include a small area of Eno Township
along U.S. 70 by the year 2000. The Greater Durham 201 Facilities Plan
proposed future extensions of the City of Durham's sewer system to provide
sewer service to the area of Highway 70 near the Orange County/Durham
County line.
Water lines from the Town of Hillsborough do extend into Eno Township
along U.S. 70 Business to its junction with U.S. 70 Bypass, down Old N.C.
10 to its junction with New Hope Road and along Piney Grove Church Road
(SR 1711) and Lennie Drive (SR 1831) .
The City of Durham is currently extending its water lines into Orange County
along U.S. 70 for a distance of abouti.1/2 mile.
