G.S. 108-15(1) is amended by deleting <br /> 12 "according to the merit system rules of the State Personnel <br /> 13 Board" and inserting "in accordance with rules of the State <br /> 14 Personnel Commission when applicable. " <br /> 15 -- - Sec. 5. G.S. 108-17(a) is amended by deleting nix <br /> 16 accordance with the merit system rules of the State Personnel <br /> 17 Board. Any director dismissed by such board shall have the right <br /> 18 of appeal under the same rules." and inserting in lieu thereof <br /> 19 "in accordance with rules of the State Personnel Commission when <br /> 20 applicable." <br /> 21 Sec. 6. G.S. 108-18 is amended on line 3 as it appears <br /> . , ._ <br /> ----.. <br /> 22 in Volume 31, Part 1, by deleting "Board" and inserting in limn <br /> 23 thereof "Commission" and by adding immediately following, <br /> 24 "Commission" "when required,". <br /> 25 Sec. 7. G.S. 130-18 is amended by deleting in the third <br /> 26 and fourth lines as found in Volume 3B "meeting the <br /> . 27 qualifications set forth by the Merit System Council and" and by <br /> 2 <br /> 28 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 <br /> Senate Bill 490 <br />
