3) General Identification Signs for the Development as a Whole <br /> Shall be permitted as follows: One sign structure, not exceed- <br /> ing twenty feet in height, and having not more than two <br /> sign surface areas, each limited to twenty square feet, may <br /> be erected inside or outside required setbacks adjacent to <br /> public streets, provided that no such sign shall overhang <br /> any public way or be so located or constructed as to create <br /> a dangerous impediment to traffic visibility. Such signs <br /> may identify the development as a whole and bear directional <br /> information, but shall contain no advertising matter. <br /> 4) Minor Directional Sign Structures <br /> Having not more than two sign surface areas, each limited to <br /> four square feet may be erected as reasonably necessary for <br /> the safety and convenience of visitors to the center. Such <br /> signs shall bear no advertising matter other than the name of <br /> the development as a whale or an indication of the portion of <br /> the development to which direction is given. <br /> 5) Identification Signs for Major Buildings or Complexes <br /> Shall be erected only upon the walls of buildings, and shall <br /> not project more than three feet beyond the wall upon which <br /> mounted, nor above the lower roofline. Only one such sign <br /> shall be permitted for each face of the building visible <br /> from a public street other than a minor residential street. <br /> The area allotment for any such signs shall be five percent <br /> of the surface area of the building on the exposure involved, <br /> up to a maximum of one hundred square feet. Such signs shall <br /> indicate only the nAme of the building or complex and the <br /> nature of the establishments therein. <br /> 6) Signs Identifying Individual Establishments or Offices <br /> From a public street shall be permitted as follows: <br /> a) One sign mounting, attached to the wall of the building, and <br /> containing not more than two sign surfaces, each with a max- <br /> imum surface area of thirty square feet. Such signs shall <br /> not project more than three feet from the wall to which <br /> attached or extend above any lower roofline, or in any case <br /> above a height of twenty feet above ground level. <br /> b) One identification sign, not exceeding two square feet in area, <br /> shall be permitted on each display window, and on each principal <br /> entrance. <br /> c) One double-surfaced identification sign, with each surface <br /> limited to two square feet, shall he permitted over each <br /> principal entrance. Unless suspended from a marquee, such <br /> sign shall not project more than three feet from the wall of <br /> the building. <br /> 7-7A <br />
