Another temporary vacancy will occur in this <br /> unit in early summer when Linda Wade, Eligibility Specialist II, takes maternity <br /> leave. The Social Services Board at its last meeting unanimously approved this <br /> request to fill Na. Eilderly's position with a temporary appointment to be employed <br /> a maximum of six months. This will allow for training the temporary employee prior <br /> to Mrs. Wade's leave and provide needed coverage for the AFDC caseload in her <br /> absence. The AFDC caseload has increased steadily for a two year period. The unit <br /> contains five positions and a reduction to three positions during Mrs. Wade's <br /> absence would create an impossible workload. <br />
