ATTACHMENT B <br /> ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> HILLSBOROUGH <br /> NORTH CAROLINA. <br /> 27278 <br /> EL.1771 <br /> • <br /> MEMO <br /> TO: Board of County Commissioners <br /> FROM: Planning Department Staff <br /> DATE: April 30, 1981 <br /> SUBJECT: Staff revisions and answers to specific questions raised <br /> at Board work sessions. <br /> The Board at their work sessions on December 9, 1980, January 7, <br /> 1981 and February 12, 1981 raised several questions and asked for <br /> specific revisions concerning the proposed Zoning Ordinance. <br /> The following list specifically addresses the concerns of the Board <br /> • as reflected in the third draft of the ordinance. <br /> • 1. References to the word morals have been deleted at the request <br /> of the Planning Board and on the further advise of the County Attorney <br /> that deletion would not harm the ordinance. <br /> 2. The inclusion of Cheeks township under the applicability section <br /> of the Zoning Ordinance. The Plsmming Board has requested that Cheeks <br /> • not be included in the extension of zoning to previously unzoned <br /> townships. The Planning Staff feels that development pressures <br /> and land use considerations warrant the inclusion of Cheeks Township <br /> in the Ordinance. <br /> 3. QUALIFICATIONS FOR PLANNING BOARD MEMBERSHIP <br /> 2.2.3 "Every member of the Board shall be a resident of Orange <br /> County. Each Township within the County shall be re- <br /> presented in the membership of the Board by at least one <br /> resident". <br />
