(April 1, 1980) exceeded the final popula- <br /> 4 tion figures estimated by the U.S. Bureau of <br /> 6 Census by more than 5%. <br /> 6 (2) A request under this subsection must be Made <br /> 7 by resolution of the governing body of the <br /> 8 reqUesting city. The resolution shall set forth <br /> 9 the ! basis for the city' s reasonable belief that <br /> 10 1 <br /> the ; federal census has seriously undercounted <br /> 11 theicity' s actual population. This belief <br /> 12 maybe based upon a sample survey or actual <br /> 13 poqlation count conducted by the city, estimates <br /> 14 based on utility records, or any other reasonably'- <br /> 15 reliable and persuasive evidence. <br /> 16 (3) Sublect to subdivision : (4) , in responding to a <br /> 17 request under this subsection, the Division of <br /> 18 State Budget shall conduct the census according <br /> 19 to the standard procedures usually followed <br /> 20 <br /> by this Division in conducting 100% municipal <br /> 21 <br /> censuses. <br /> 1 <br /> 22 <br /> (4) If a request under this subsection is received <br /> 23 <br /> by the State Budget Officer before September 1, 1981 <br /> 24 <br /> the ;Division of State Budget shall conduct the <br /> 26 <br /> census in sufficient time that the population <br /> 26 <br /> figOres derived therefrom can be certified for <br /> 27 <br /> use : by any State department or division distributing <br /> 28 <br /> income to municipalities in Fiscal 1981-82. <br /> Pan 3 <br />
