I/4— ?),/ <br /> AGENDA ATTACHMENT 4 <br /> MEMORAUDDM <br /> DATE: April 15, 1981 <br /> TO; Board of County Commissioners <br /> FROM: Archie Kelly, Assistant Tax Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Request for release of 1980 tax by Foundation Bookstore, Chapel Hill <br /> (Larry Shapiro, General Partner) considered March 23, 1981. <br /> Mr. Shapiro has made a timely 1981 listing for the bookstore of inventory <br /> at a valuation of $15,250 and of other business personal property at a 1981 <br /> cost of $566.94. We believe the latter to be an understatement of the amount <br /> 1 of personalty other than inventory owned by the business and that a valuation <br /> of $2,000 to $2,5000 will be assigned this other personalty for 1981, producing <br /> a total valuation for 1981 of $17,250 to $17,750. <br /> A discovery of property of the bookstore for 1979 tax should be forthcoming <br /> as Mr. Shapiro's 1981 listing and his letter of February 19,1981 indicate the <br /> business was organized March 2, 1978. <br /> Mr. Kelly called me this morning to correct this memo.
