'*" ' 't"!■' * " " , "2.;.; <br /> REQUEST OF APPROVAL OF PARTICIPATION <br /> BY THE NORTH CAROLINA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY <br /> A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners (Governing Body) of the <br /> County (City, Town or County) of Orange , North <br /> Carolina, was held at 10:00 o'clock A. .m. , on April 6 <br /> A RESOLUTION ENDORSING LOCAL PARTICIPATION IN THE RURAL CLEAN WATER PROGRAM <br /> ADOPTED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> WHEREAS, the Rural Clean Water Program is designed (1 ) to achieve improved <br /> water quality in the most cost-effective manner possible in keeping <br /> with the provision of adequate supplies of food, fiber, and a quality <br /> environment; and (2) to assist agricultural landowners to reduce <br /> agricultural nonpoint source water pollutants and to improve water <br /> quality in rural areas to meet water quality standards or goals, and; <br /> WHEREAS, portions of Orange County have been determined to be critical sources <br /> of agricultural nonpoint source pollutants having a significant impact <br /> on the Falls of the Neuse Reservoir as determined by the Falls of the <br /> Neuse Watershed Task Force; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Orange County indicates its endorsement of <br /> the Rural Clean Water Program and encourages local participation. <br /> /911 <br /> hate signature - Chairman, <br /> Orange County Commissioners <br />
