The funding for these <br /> renovations is provided by the Capital Projects Ordinance and <br /> a transfer to the General Fund is budgeted for current year re- <br /> novations by the Public Works department. In order to complete <br /> the tasks assigned to this department, a transfer of $55,000 from <br /> the existing Capital Projects Ordinance is needed. j <br /> In addition, the Board is being asked to consider an expansion <br /> of the purpose of the Capital Projects Ordinance to include a <br /> request by Mr. Davison, Chairman of the Orange County Public <br /> Library. The North Carolina General Assembly awarded the Library <br /> $39,500`tu purchase furnishings for the new library building. <br /> The has committed $l0,00 ' Th are requesting that the <br /> Board � <br /> uard uf Commissioners appropriate' for the purpose of <br /> finishing the interior and furnishing the library facility at the <br /> Orange County Human Services building. <br /> For consideration in the next fiscal year, research of completing <br /> the County Building Capital Project Ordinance purpose will require <br /> an additional commitment of $240,000, The cost overrun from the <br /> current budget is a result of the jail renovation being more costly <br /> than anticated. A review of the next year and a half to complete <br /> renovations is as follows: <br /> Funds currently available in the Capital Projects Ordinance: <br /> ($1,083'713'41) <br /> Cost Categories to be completed: <br /> 1.) Grady Brown: <br /> Balance due contracters $15,784.94 <br /> • 2.) Jail Renovation: <br /> Contracts to be paid 1,077,607.01 <br /> ( <br /> 3.)
