The Commissioners <br /> 1) To continue their support for and interaction with the Human <br /> Services Advisory Commission, <br /> b s <br /> o <br /> 2) To continue the direct involvement of Commissioners as members <br /> tal <br /> ' <br /> of human services boards, such as Board of Social Services, Men <br /> Health Board, Public Health Board, Senior Citizen Board, JOCCA, <br /> HSAC, Recreation Commission, etc' <br /> t the Conference experience into action with <br /> 3) To try to convert the Board subsequent discussion on th B rd of Commissioners and agency <br /> = boards' <br /> *° 4) To promote better understanding with agencies and d the general <br /> public regarding th e limitations of the Board of Commissioners, <br /> , <br /> e.g. inflexibility of mandates and requirements, funding limi- <br /> tations, <br /> etc. <br /> with State and Federal policies in efforts <br /> 5) To continue to grapple w e <br /> i«n and coordination with other levels of <br /> toward better cooperation <br /> and continue efforts to affect policy through <br /> contact with `""vuu llegislat.r' and active participation in <br /> the TJCOG, NCACC, and NACO. <br /> -'6)--To start afresh to look for new sources of funding, both public <br /> and private. <br /> 7) To insist on coordination of services, where possible, particularly <br /> through the budget process. " <br /> These were presented to the Conference in its final session. <br />
