Highway 70 By-pass and St. Mary's Road (HB-3) <br /> Plan Category: Commercial Transition <br /> Analysis and Evaluation: This node is located at the intersection of an <br /> arterial (US 70 By-pass) and a collector (St. Mary's Road). Commercial <br /> uses presently exist near this node including small gas station, a conven- <br /> ience store with gas pumps and a flea market store: There are no natural <br /> environmental constraints that would hinder medium to higher intensive <br /> commercial development in this area. However, there are presently con- <br /> . <br /> straints imposed by the arrangement of the highway and its access points <br /> which would need to be redesigned to safely accomodate additional commercial <br /> development. This redesign could include turn lanes on US 70 By-pass and/or <br /> St. Mary's Road at the intersection and/or perhaps a stoplight.
