Population and Land Needs Projection 1980-2000 <br /> The population projections for Hillsborough Township outside the Towns <br /> corporate limits are: <br /> Total <br /> 1980 1990 , 2000 <br /> 5,960 7,517 9,410 <br /> Additional persons: <br /> 1990 2000 <br /> 1 ;557 3,450 <br /> Population projections for the Town of Hillsborough were subtracted to <br /> derive the projections as shown. This was done by allocating one-half of <br /> the Town's projected increase to the balance of the Township under the <br /> assumption that Hillsborough would only be able to absorb that much of <br /> its projected growth within its corporate limits.
