Location: N. C. Highway 54 and Dodson's Crossroads South (BH-2) Plan Category: Rural Corrraunity Analysis and Evaluation: This node is the site of the old White Cross School and currently has a combination gasoline station and small grocery store. There are no environmental constraints. This node currently has only limited community or comaercial type uses, hover it possesses locational attributes which make it a suitable Rural Community node. It is located at the intersec- tion of an important and well traveled east-west road and important north-south route. This location is near a area to the northeast of the node (between Orange Grove Road and Dodson's Crossroads South) that has been classified as Rural Residential. As this residential area develops it will have a need for support 1 services that could most appropriately be located at this node. Location: Old Greensboro Highway and Crawford Dairy Road (BH-3) Plan Category: Rural Camrrercial. Analysis and Evalnation: This node is located at the intersection of two collector roads. Existing land uses at this location include a church and a few residential uses. There are no environmental constraints. It was determined that this node would be a gond location for small scale limited commercial use, such as a single-small grocery store to serve residents of south-western Bingham, when and if a sufficient population density develops. Location: Orange Grove Road and Dodson's Crossroads North (BH-4) Plan Category: Rural Commercial Analysis and Evaluation: This node is located at the intersection of two collector roads. .Existing land uses include a comercial use, previously used as a leather shop and an auto parts store. It is located on the boundary of Cane Creek watershed. Its location in the northeast section of the Township means it can serve the residents in that area efficiently.
