e..01 /4/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF AMBULANCE SERVICES <br /> AND THE ADMINISTRATION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE I ' <br /> IN ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS, the private operation of ambulances for <br /> the transportation of persons injured, infirm, and invalid is <br /> a business vested with great public interest; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential and necessary for the <br /> public good and welfare and for the ,preservation of the <br /> health and safety of the citizens/of Orange County, that a <br /> prompt, adequate, and efficient'ambalance service should be <br /> available to the citizens of Orange County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> has found and hereby declares a public necessity for the <br /> regulation of the private operation of ambulances in Orange <br /> County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the administration of emergency medical <br /> assistance to injured persons is a matter of great public <br /> interest and concern; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential and necessary for the <br /> public safety and welfare of the citizens of Orange County, <br /> North Carolina that such persons as regularly respond to <br /> requests for emergency aid and assistance and regularly <br /> administer medical aid to injured persons in emergency <br /> medical situations be properly trained and instructed in <br /> their tasks; and 1 <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> has found and hereby declares a public necessity for the <br />
