A) a budget for this Board, <br /> b) Will this Board be composed of construction and real estate <br /> professionals; concerned public spirited citizens; or a <br /> combination of both. <br /> ACQUISITION OF SMALL VEHICLES <br /> Your budget adopted last spring included funds to establish a fleet of <br /> compact vehicles that get substantially greater mileage per gallon than the <br /> typical vehicle now available to County personnel . This acquisition would be <br /> financed through a budget appropriation and a lease purchase agreement. Vehic <br /> would be acquired under the State Contract. The staff recommends the County <br /> acquire 26 vehicles: <br /> a) 12 four-door Chevettes with standard transmission $64,503,96 <br /> b) 6 four-door Chevettes with automatic transmission 33,900. 18 <br /> c) 4. Plymouth Reliants four-door to be used mainly for <br /> Jomer_trips. with _more than-cme .Rerson i_n_a _car 27,498.00 <br /> d) 4 Plymouth Grand Fury Police Special for the Sheriff's <br /> patrol work <br /> 30 705.72 <br /> Total Cost including service manuals <br /> $156,632.86 <br /> I suggest we use $74,000 of the $94,000 appropriated for new vehicles this <br /> year to apply towards the $156,632.86 cost of these vehicles and finance the <br /> remaining $82,632.86 through a lease purchase agreement similar to the ones <br /> previously executed for our computer and telephone equipment. <br /> We have requested proposals for a financing package from several vendors. <br /> Late in January we should be in a position to recommend a financing package to y <br /> If accepted we will then be in a position to order cars. Vehicle delivery shoul <br /> take about 90 days. <br /> OFFICE MOVES <br /> To begin implementing the planned County office relocations, the Tax <br /> Supervisor moved from the courthouse to the old Social Services building last wee <br /> The Data Processing Center moved one of its two computers to this building on the <br /> same day. We plan to move the Tax Collector in mid January. <br />
