01: ■ ‹, - <br /> -A <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> OFFER TO PURCHASE <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> THIS OFFER TO PURCHASE, entered into this the 5th <br /> day of December , 1980, by and between VIRGINIA FOUST of <br /> 1811 Capps Street, Durham, North Carolina 27707 <br /> and ORANGE COUNTY; <br /> WITNESSET H: <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is the owner of the land <br /> ■ <br /> described below which it purchased pursuant to a tax foreclosure <br /> sale on September 29, 1962; WHEREAS, said Virginia Foust is the <br /> heir to Roberta Foust, the owner of said lands that were fore- <br /> closed and sold for unpaid County taxes; and WHEREAS, the said <br /> Virginia Foust now desires to repurchase from Orange County said <br /> lands hereinbelow described: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the following <br /> terms and conditions, said Virginia Foust makes the following <br /> offer of purchase: <br /> 1. Virginia Foust hereby offers to purchase <br /> the following described lands from Orange County: <br /> BEING that certain tract of land lying and being in Cheeks <br /> Township, Orange County, North Carolina and more particularly <br /> /described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at a rock and pointers, Richard Poteat's Southeast <br /> corner, and running thence South 88 deg. 30 min. East 141 ft. <br /> to a rock and pointers on the line of W. H. Williams; thence <br /> with the line of Williams North 2 deg. East 950 feet to a rock <br /> and pointers, Williams corner and on the line of George <br /> Crutchfield; thence North 88 deg. 15 min. West 141 ft. to rock <br /> and pointers; thence South 2 deg. West 943 feet to the place <br /> or point of beginning, containing 3 acres, more or less. <br /> Reference is hereby made to a plat of the survey made by J. <br /> Ralph Weaver April 17, 1944, which said plat is duly recorded <br /> in the office of the Register of Deeds of Orange County. <br /> 2. Virginia Foust agrees to pay as a purchase <br /> price for said lands the sum of $600.00.
