Board - thd Board of Commissioners of Orange County. <br /> ; i. PatieUt - an individual who is sick, injured, wounded, <br /> or otherwise incapacitated or helpless. This includes any <br /> person being transported to medical attention or from medical <br /> attention in an ambulance. <br /> 'j. Person - any individual, firm,-partnership, associatf a, <br /> corporation, company,. group of individuals acting together- fox <br /> a coirmton purpose, or organization of any kind including any <br /> governmental agency other than the United States. <br /> Sedtion 2. Franchise Required. - <br /> A. No person, either as owner, agent or otherwise shall <br /> furnish, operate, conduct, maintain, advertise "or otherwise ' - <br /> 1 <br /> engage in or profess to be engaged in the business or seice <br /> ( the transportation of patients upon the public ways of Orange <br /> County without first having applied for andobtained franchise <br /> 1 <br /> 1 from the Orange County Board of Commissioners authorizing- such ' <br /> operation. Violation of this section shall be punishable 'as - <br /> preScribed in General Statute Sl4-4.
