C. 27278 <br /> (919) 732-9361 <br /> Period: 10/1/80 - 9/30/81 <br /> Method of Delivery <br /> Orange County Department of Aging will use funds to support a part-time <br /> director and part-time secretary/receptionist in addition to volunteers <br /> and Title V supported aides to maintain the operation of the Northern <br /> Orange Senior Center located in Hillsborough. Specific activities <br /> include: developing necessary formal/informal agreements with various <br /> service providers such as JOCCA, DSS, DTI , Health Department, Home <br /> Health Agency of Chapel Hill , Recreation Department, Library, etc. <br /> Specific activities at the center will include: home repair, eligibility <br /> screaming, crafts instruction, eligibility screaming for Department of <br /> Social Services ' Programs, speakers and informational phamplets from the <br /> Social Security Administration, a monthly consumer information program. <br /> An Advisory Council for the Northern Orange Senior Center will also be <br /> supported by staff. <br /> Information about this Center, will be provided through the Department <br /> of Aging's newsletter and community news media. <br /> Project Income <br /> Service participants will be allowed to contribute to the program in a <br /> way that will ensure the confidentiality of the contributor. Two people <br /> will be involved in the counting and receipting of the contributions_ <br /> All contributions will be presented to the central agency office to be <br /> recorded accurately when received, and accounted for and reported on a <br /> regular basis. Contributions will be deposited and used to offset the <br /> costs of the program on a current basis. <br />
