C. 27278 <br /> 919/732-9361 <br /> Area Covered: Orange County <br /> ithrt4 <br /> Subcontractor: State Legal Services <br /> A 102 West King St. <br /> Hillsborough, N. C. 27278 <br /> 919/732-8137 <br /> Period: 10/1/80 - 9/30/81 <br /> Method of Delivery: <br /> Orange County Department of Aging will subcontract with Northstate Legal <br /> provide individual legal assistance for older persons. Northstate will <br /> use two University of North Carolina law school third year students who <br /> are involved in an independent study program. These students will <br /> schedule bi-weekly appointments at the Senior Center and Nutrition sites <br /> in the county. An attorney with Northstate Legal Services will directly <br /> supervise the work of the two students and provide legal back-up assista <br /> Project Income <br /> Service participants will be allowed to contribute to the program in a <br /> way that will ensure the confidentiality of the contributor. Two <br /> people will be involved in the counting and receipting of the contributi, <br /> All contributions will be presented to the central agency office to be <br /> recorded accurately when received, and accounted for and reported on a <br /> regular basis. Contributions will be deposited and used to offset the <br /> costs of the program on a current basis. <br />
