} <br /> r. s /777./1744 ffr,� <br /> IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br /> INFORMATION AND REFERRAL <br /> Contractor: Orange County Dept. of Aging Area Covered: Orange Co <br /> 300 West Tryon Street <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> 919/732-9361 <br /> Period: 10/1/80 - 9/30/81 <br /> Method of Delivery: <br /> Orange County Department of Aging will use Title lii funds to support a <br /> full-time Information and Referral receptionist at its Chapel Hill <br /> office and a half-time I & R receptionist at its Northern Orange Senior <br /> Center. Along with backup assistance from the Department of Aging <br /> Director for various cases, its service will involve the giving of <br /> information, referral , short-term counseling, and follow-up when necessar <br /> Special efforts will be made to ensure the service is highly visible and <br /> readily accessible for all elderly in Orange County. <br /> informational materials will be developed by volunteers. In addition, <br /> the monthly newsletter will be disseminated throughout the county and <br /> special information placed in literature holders which are located in <br /> strategic locations throughout the communities. <br /> Cooperative informal agreements already exist with the Interface Council: <br /> INFO and the Town of Chapel Hill Department of Human Services. The <br /> Department of Aging will continue to co-sponsor the printing of A Guide <br /> to Services and Opportunities for Older Adults. <br /> Project Income: <br /> Service participants will be allowed to contribute to the program in a <br /> way that will ensure the confidentiality of the contributor. Two people <br /> will be involved in the counting and receipting of the contributions. <br /> All contributions will be presented to the central agency office to be <br /> recorded accurately when received, and accounted for and reported on a <br /> regular basis. Contributions will be deposited and used to offset the <br /> costs of the program on a current basis. <br />
