z i <br /> 4 <br /> 4. JORDAN LAKEIWATER ALLOCATION <br /> Don Willhoit indicated that it has been suggested that some sort of <br /> regional type authority be formed. NRCD is looking for local governments <br /> to develop some proposals to enhance regional cooperation in making <br /> allocation decisions. <br /> 5. UNIVERSITY WATERSHED <br /> Don Willhoit noted that eight percent of the University Lake <br /> watershed extends into Chatham County and in times of heavy rains a <br /> couple of houses have been flooded. Orange County would like to <br /> encourage Chatham County to formulate some watershed protection measures <br /> that would help to protect the watershed along the line. <br /> Chair Willhoit briefly summarized the procedure Orange County uses to <br /> determine the water quality critical area and the regulations to protect <br /> the watershed. I Chatham County was receptive to the suggestion and . <br /> indicated a willingness to work out the regulations needed to provide <br /> this protection. <br /> 6. HUMAN SERVICES <br /> No discussion. <br /> Don Willhoit adjourned the meeting.
