PURPOSE: To consider adopting a resolution declaring the • intent of the Board of Commissioners to close a • portion of Old Cedar Grove Road in Hillsborough • Township. To set a date for a public hearing on the road ctosore so as to obtain public comment on the pdI pposed actiop . . . . NEED: The petitioner is requesting the closure of an_ abandoned portion of Old Cedar Grove Road . The portion to be closed is divided into two sections. The southern section extends in a northwesterly direction pproximately 482.94 feet, from the intersection of the Dixie Drive centerline with the western property line of the Orange County property [see attched Sketch Maps) . The northern section of Old Cedar Grove Road requested for closing is located northwest of Harper Street (SR 1395) . The street section begins at the southwest corner of Lot #1 of Block B I of Highland Woods and extends in a noIrthwesterly diyection approximately 1 ,017.29 feet . A portion of Old Cedar Grove Road which • originally Linked the two sections under consideration was closed by action of the Board of Commissioners on May 2, 1983. . I I IMPACT: CLosure of the abandoned portion of Old Cedar Gr ve Road as requested in the petition would not interfere with any adjacent property or use of the road for access .
