The consor- <br /> tiuit was established in June, 1984 with Durham County, Orange <br /> Co4ty and the City of Durham being the participating jurisdic- <br /> tions formulating the SDA. The City of Durham is the adminis- <br /> trative unit for the A. Recently staff was notified of the <br /> fac that the Governor will permit Counties to redesignate SDAs <br /> according to new State guidalines. In addition, two additional <br /> local agencies (Council of Gmernments and 00CCA) have expressed <br /> a desire to administer Orange County's JTPA program. <br /> Couity PIC representatives will be present to make comments on <br /> these agency proposals. <br /> IMPACC: The Board has three options: (1) Apply to the State for a <br /> change in our designation by January 2, 1986; (2) remain in the <br /> current SDA between Durham and Orange; or (3) become a part of <br /> the State administered Rural Service Delivery Area. <br /> RDOCMMEMATION(S): <br /> JTPA Program remain in the Central Piedmont Employment and <br /> Training SDA. <br />
